Voices from El Ocotillo
About 70 people gathered on Saturday for a fun evening of fellowship, music, and Salvadoran food to celebrate our 25th anniversary of relationship with El Ocotillo and to raise funds for the scholarship program. We heard from Jessie Panek about the history of our relationship and how we came to support education in the village; and from Barb Magee about the current state of the government. The highlights of the evening were videos from each of the students and a heartfelt message from Lilian del Carmen, one of our first scholarship students.
