EXPLORING THE SCRIPTURES

Topic: “Stir up your power, O Lord, and come among us …” are the beginning words of the collect for the Third Sunday of Advent.  John the Baptist came to stir up the people of his time in preparation for Jesus.  This month we will look at the role John the Baptist played in the ministry and life of Jesus, and how we can be “stirred up.”

Readings: Luke 3: 1-18, Matthew 11: 2-11,  Mark 1: 1-12,  John 1: 6-8, 19-28

We will be holding our December Bible Study on Zoom on Wednesday December 15 from 7:30 – 9:00pm.

Come and join us as we explore the scriptures and consider how they speak to us today. Each session is a stand-alone meeting so join us for whatever sessions you can fit into your schedule. All are welcome!
