EXPLORING THE SCRIPTURES
Topic:
This month as New England’s harvest is ending and we are preparing for Thanksgiving, it is a good time to consider the role of food in the bible. Food is a fundamental human need as well as a symbol of belonging to a community – or of being excluded from it. It is at the center of our Sunday worship together and of our social gatherings. Come and join us as we track the progress of biblical feasts from Moses to the present day.
Readings:
Exodus 12:1-18, 43-51; 16:2-15, 31; Luke 22:7-23;
Mark 14:22-25; 6:30-44; John 6:1-14; 41-59; 21:9-14;
Luke 24:28-43; Acts 10:9-16; 1 Corinthians 8
We will be holding our November Bible Study on Zoom on Wednesday November 10 from 7:30 – 9:00pm.
Come and join us as we explore the scriptures and consider how they speak to us today. Each session is a stand-alone meeting so join us for whatever sessions you can fit into your schedule. All are welcome!
