Hop, Skip and Jump through the Bible

EXPLORING THE SCRIPTURES

We have one word for Love in our language, the Greeks had four – Eros, Agape, Philia and Storge. This month we will explore what happens when Love moves from being a noun to a verb and from a focus on Eros to that of Agape. Eros is a lucrative business in our society, but Agape starts revolutions, and Agape is the word used for love in the New Testament. Come and join us as we explore the meaning of Agape in the bible, and how we can apply it to our own lives.

Readings: Mark 12:28-34; Matthew 5:43-48; John 15:1-17; 1 Corinthians ch.13; 1 John 3:11-24, 4:7-21.
