EXPLORING THE SCRIPTURES

We will be meeting the second week of Lent, a period of penance and reflection in preparation for Easter. The forty days of Lent are taken from the forty days Jesus spent in the wilderness being tempted. We will look at the three readings from the gospels that speak to Jesus’s challenges and responses. We will discuss what are the temptations and challenges we face? How do we respond? And how do we experience the forty days of Lent?

Readings:  Mark 1:9-13; Matt 4:1-11; Luke 4:1-13

Each session is a stand-alone meeting so join us for whatever sessions you can fit into your schedule. All are welcome.
