CROP Walk

  • Bruce Freeman Rail Trail parking lot 120 Concord Road Acton, MA, 01720 United States (map)

Hunger is a huge global issue because of the pandemic. Good Shepherd will participate in the CROP Walk this year on Sunday, October 18. (Rain date: October 25)

You will recall that in the past groups gathered at the Unitarian Church in Concord and walked through the National Park and back to the church. This year, organizations and individuals are being asked to walk on their own or in small groups. We will have our own socially distanced walk in Acton. We had a terrific turn out last year with the Church School having made a banner for the walk, and we would love to see all of you participate again.

For those of you interested in walking this year, you are welcome to assemble on Sunday October 18 at 12:30pm in the parking lot on Concord Road in Acton. The CGS walkers will set out on the Bruce Freeman Rail Trail towards Chelmsford. The plan is to walk 1.5 miles each way for a total of 3 miles starting at 1:00 pm. Feel free to get creative and make your own posters to carry on the walk.

One other difference about this year's walk is that there are no envelopes and everything is being done online. If you’d like to donate or register for the CropWalk, visit the Church of the Good Shepherd team page. Thank you in advance for your participation and support of the 2020 CropWalk!
