Esperanza el Cinco de Mayo Dinner

As in the past, last fall at the Esperanza Harvest of Hope auction, thanks to a group of Good Shepherd parishioners, we won a catered meal by chef Dana of Strawberries Catering and Esperanza Academy. This year's Esperanza Dinner falls on Sunday May 5, el cinco de mayo, so to celebrate, there will be both mouthwatering Caribbean and Mexican dishes on the menu.

For those new to Good Shepherd, Esperanza Academy is a tuition-free, independent middle school in the Episcopal tradition welcoming girls of diverse faiths, races and cultures from Lawrence, Massachusetts. We have been partners with the school for 12 years.

This is a fun chef's night out for the whole family and a chance to talk with some of the students and staff from the school. There will be a free-will offering at the dinner to go towards the Esperanza scholarship fund.

Please sign up in the parish hall. Contact Carolyn Platt if you want to help.
